Night Cleaner Supervisor - Four Seasons - Jumeirah
1. The ability to perform all tasks for the position of Night Cleaner; able to use and teach the correct, safe use of all equipment and chemicals selected for use on property. 2. The ability to supervise, guide, schedule, discipline and evaluate all overnight housekeeping staff. 3. Supervise the Room Attendants that have been assigned to the assigned work areas 4. Pick-up cell phone and ensure correct working condition; The same apply to the Room Attendant assigned to their area 5. Assumes training responsibilities when required; demonstrates a high degree of standards awareness; promotes teamwork and acts as role model 6. Attends all scheduled training sessions 7. Actively offers operational, employee and customer (internal and external) related feedback to management 8. Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers; lives the Golden Rule 9. Adheres to the hotel’s code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards 10. Is seen as working hands-on, assists colleagues in crunch times; Walks the talk 11. Actively participates in briefings and meetings 12. The ability to inspect for cleanliness in Rooms, the public area and back of the house areas to ensure quality and maintain standards. 13. Possesses a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills. Keeps abreast of events in the hotel 14. Inspects guest rooms and public areas as assigned and in accordance with hotel standards; stocks and maintains the linen closet 15. Supervise all housekeeping operations and ensure adherence to policies and procedures, i.e. special projects, general cleaning 16. Conduct spot checks (while Room Attendants are working) and ensure proper procedures and steps are being taken. Follow up on all deficiencies 17. Check to ensure that all Room Attendant return assignment sheet, keys and sign out at the end of the shift 18. Provides genuine hospitality and recognition in the work area. Promotes hotel services and products 19. Inform the Director of Housekeeping of any unusual events and communicate any special instructions to the P.M. Supervisor 20. Anticipates guest needs and takes ownership of guest concerns and requests; acts decisively to ensure guest satisfaction. Offers a special service touch when an opportunity is presented 21. Is proficient in the safe handling of all relevant equipment and machinery; reports defects and accidents to management immediately. Is competent in MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) procedures and trained in accident response 22. Attends to guest and internal customers’ calls and coordinates with concerned departments to ensure timely and efficient service delivery 23. Assists in general department administration 24. Handles “Do Not Disturb” rooms according to Hotel policy 25. Ensures follow up on maintenance requirements in the areas assigned 26. Assists in routine inventory taking of supplies and operating equipment 27. Ensures Maids Pantries are kept clean and tidy 28. The ability to review functional task assignments within the department and adjust to meet changing situations. 29. The ability to participate in controlling equipment and labor costs while maintaining quality standards. 30. The ability to inventory cleaning supplies, keep proper pars and organize procedures for waste control. 31. The ability to complete and conduct performance evaluations in accordance with hotel policies. 32. The ability to fill out engineering work orders as well as accomplish those work orders which are assigned to the night cleaners and follow up with inspections. 33. The ability to conduct monthly staff meetings and complete weekly staff schedules. 34. The ability to maintain a high level of employee morale. 35. The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation. 36. The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff |
