Sales Manager - Sponsorship & Exhibition Sales

Their conferences are major industry gatherings focusing on strategy, innovation and technology and their trade exhibitions are marketplaces for global business. They operate from a network of offices in London, New York, Singapore, Sydney, Dubai and Johannesburg.
They are currently looking for a Sponsorship and Exhibition Sales Manager for their Dubai office, offering a great tax free salary, working in one of the worlds most exciting and vibrant cities and they will help you relocate from the UK and support your move while your settle in to your new life.
The main responsibility of this role will be to sell sponsorships and exhibition space on designated events via telephone (85%) and also at face-to- face (15%) meetings and to deliver the highest possible overall sales performance to guarantee successful events. You will conduct local and global research on the industry and plan the event with the project team, develop business and sales plans, KPIs, milestone targets and timelines in collaboration with the General Manager and Sales Director. You will also consult with major clients and prospects to determine and drive the key project goals.
The successful candidate will take ownership and responsibility for directing efforts towards event revenue and other goals, follow the event sales strategy, prioritize activities to work towards agreed project goals (e.g. daily call planning, daily admin time), proactively seeking ways to overcome obstacles to achieving event goals all the while producing strong and effective sponsorship proposals and pitch effectively across multiple decision makers
The ideal candidate will have 1 or 2 years commercial sales experience, will be goal-oriented, have a proactive response to and communication of project issues and concerns with the team and be able to focus on customer needs. You will have a research and analytical ability as well as superior written and verbal communication skills
You’ll receive an excellent base salary and a generous commission scheme of £50-60KOTE- and this will all be tax free. Located in Dubai, a thrilling and five star city supported in finding your accommodation. Our client will cover all immigration and visa issues and will support you in the transition from living in the UK to living in Dubai.
