Senior Design Managers - Dubai EXPO 2020 - Dubai, UAE - CH2M - Dubai

CH2M and Mace have partnered to form a joint venture that is leading all real estate and construction delivery related Programme management services for Expo 2020 Dubai development – the master district that will also host the Expo 2020 within a secure gated area when the six month event debuts in October 2020.

In its role as Expo 20’s real estate delivery partners on this project, CH2M-Mace (“The PMC”) are providing full-service consultancy from Programme as well as cost and commercial management, to design, construction and operations management for the end-to-end development and delivery of the Expo 2020 Dubai site within it.

It will be the first time a World Expo will be hosted in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia Region and it is expected to be a significant catalyst for growth for business across wider region.

Reporting to the Project Director, as Senior Design Manager you will be responsible for assuring and integrating appropriate technical and design solutions across the Expo 2020 programme. The position will require you to: –

Coordinate and manage the design process and design reviews, reviewing technical design submissions. to assure to assure and to integrate consistently across the Expo 2020 programme

Coordinate and manage the stakeholder and client interface with the design

Coordinate and manage the design consultants to deliver to plan and quality target

Support procurement of design and technical consultants by establishing requirements, setting briefs and assessing technical submissions of tenders

Add value by challenging and innovating on established methods of technical delivery where appropriate

Minimum Qualifications

As a successful candidate you will hold either a Degree in Architecture or Structural Engineering and already have experience of providing design assurance on large complex technical projects usually with iconic status. Your technical capabilities will allow you to relate your knowledge to the holistic and integrated design and delivery of multiple disciplines related to site and building design and engineering enabling you to add value to our client.

Preferred Qualifications

We are seeking individuals with at least 12 years of progressive design experience. Discipline specific professional registration is preferred (RIBA, AIA, ARB).
