£90,000 – £100,000 + benefits + relocation

THE COMPANY

This is an opportunity to join one of the world’s biggest and most successful e-commerce companies as a Data Scientist in their regional Middle East team (Dubai). As a business they have invested significantly into their digital platform and in recent years have hired a core Data Science team responsible for pushing the boundaries of what they can do with their data.

As a member of this team it will be your goal to collaborate with your peers and push innovative analytics practices, delivering recommendations and insights back to senior stakeholders within the company.

You will have access to billions of rows of data, the latest tools and technologies in the industry and you will use cutting-edge statistics/machine learning algorithms to predict behaviour, improve user experience and generate new found insights.

THE ROLE

You will be:

• Joining a team of innovators specialising in data mining, machine learning and web analytics


• Responsible for driving advanced analytics projects from conception through to implementation


• Working with huge sets of messy data


• Working with R, Python, SQL and AWS on a daily basis


• A key driver in the team’s growth and hiring plans

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered you must have:

• An MSc or Ph.D. in a quantitative discipline (statistics, machine learning, computer science, engineering etc)


• A proven/hands-on experience in machine learning and statistics


• Experience of working with large volumes of unstructured data


• Experience working with Python in a commercial setting


• Advanced knowledge of SQL

SALARY DETAILS – DATA SCIENTIST

£90,000 – £100,000 + benefits (bonus) + relocation
