Supervisor, Manufacturing - Panasonic Avionics Corporation - Dubai

We

seek an experienced Supervisor for our state-of-the-art Harness Manufacturing

facility based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Supervisor, Manufacturing

must have a very strong knowledge of

manufacturing harnesses.

The

supervisor will be responsible to plan, direct or coordinate work activities in

the harness manufacturing shop and utilize resources to ensure success by

maintaining specified goals for productivity, quality and delivery.

Key

responsibilities include

Supervise assembly cells to

ensure the performance is on target, SQDM boards are updated and

problems/issues in assembly cells are addressed in real time.

Lead Tool Control, Maintenance,

Calibration, Training and Manufacturing Facilities management to support

smooth cell operations.

Manage the manufacturing

activities to maximize utilization, efficiency and yield and meet OTD

targets. Provide feedback and coordinate with Kitting, Planning, QC (and

other) teams for significant issues with manufacturing or delivery

schedule.

Implement Lean Manufacturing

principals to streamline work processes of the manufacturing floor to

maximize the efficiency of manufacturing resources. Lead Kaizen events and

take active participation in all continuous improvement activities on

floor to continually reduce waste and non-valuable steps.

Support manufacturing/QA/QC team

in resolving problems or conflicts due to manufacturing issues such as

materials or parts shortages, tooling issues, drawing misunderstandings,

assembly issues or fluctuating delivery schedules.

As head of the training program,

plan, conduct and review training need for the manufacturing team. Monitor

the effectiveness of training programs and improve as required.

Review future product drawings to

identify tooling and training requirements and provide feedback on

feasibility of build.

Perform regular observations to

ensure that manufacturing processes conform to applicable regulations and

quality manual requirements.

Share team performance in

weekly/monthly meetings. Formulate reports for management such as overtime

reports, manufacturing reports and other related reports.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s

Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering, or acceptable equivalent,

with 5+ years’ experience in similar role in harness manufacturing or

assembly. Experience in an avionics manufacturing /service environment is

preferred.

Knowledge of Electro-Mechanical

Assembly and Testing, mechanical/electrical part and process design, and

analyzing engineering statistics.

Must have very strong

communication skills and be an experienced leader with the ability to work

effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Must be comfortable in

dealing with changing priorities and be able to appropriately realign personal

and team task/objections to meet the business needs in a timely manner.

Familiarity with

aviation manufacturing quality requirements and understanding of (EASA, FAA,

AS9100) regulations.

Proficient in Oracle,

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Must have experience in

the practical application of 5S, Six Sigma SPC Techniques and/or Lean Tools and

Techniques.

This role may involve travel

up to 20% of the time to both international and domestic locations.
