Location
In this position you will be based in our office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and you will be reporting to the General Manager Middle East.
Job purpose
To develop and to execute ASICS Middle East marketing strategies & -activities with the objective to enhance brand awareness/-perception along with other KPI´s for ASICS and ONITSUKA TIGER. Stimulating sales and providing support to sales and retail.
Responsibilities
Marketing
Analysis/Monitors market/trends and provides regular updates on key KPI´s, market needs
Builds marketing strategies and -plans in line with international guidelines to achieve goals
Develops, implements, coordinates & maintains seasonal marketing programs/-initiatives in close cooperation with Product-, Sales- and Retail department according to strategies.
Develops, implements, coordinates & maintains seasonal Account Marketing programs/-initiatives for Top 5 accounts in the region, in close cooperation with Product-, and Sales- department according to strategies.
Responsible for total marketing mix: TM, Promotions, PR, Media, Training&Education with focus on TM (SIS expansion, Training&Education, VM)
Coordinates the implementation of POS systems (S-I-S, running walls, instore POS, F: ID, etc.)
Builds and execute digital media investment and social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action.
Tells seasonal stories according to international road maps and local needs
Builds and leads external agencies (media, PR, training- & education)
Builds strong ties to key retail partners. Regular meetings to discuss strategies&plans
Management
Draws up the marketing budget for ASICS Middle East and executes accordingly
Reports progress and results periodically to the General Manager and AEB Marketing
Is responsible for realising plans within the set budgets and timelines.
Concludes contracts with suppliers, agencies within agreed budgets.
Leads/Monitors agencies (PR, T&E, etc.)
Leadership
Leading/Coaching/Motivating a team of 2-3 in the future
Provides clear agreements and expectations to the team
Develops marketing people (marketing skills, personal skills)
Representation and cooperation
Connects to key marketing stakeholders in retail on a regular basis
Represents at retail meetings, fairs, towards agencies
Communicate with key accounts in the GCC region on TM projects and provide toolboxes
Cooperates pro-actively with all relevant departments in AME and AEB
Provides regular updates about all marketing activities and results to all relevant stakeholders
Job requirements
Knowledge and experience
University degree with focus on marketing
> 4 years relevant marketing experience, preferably in Sports-/Fashion or FMCG industry
> 2 years proven trade marketing experience in an international environment
Good understanding of Retail business
Good command of written and spoken English
Knowledge of online marketing and good understanding of major marketing channels.
Arabic language would be a plus
Strong affinity with sport, especially running&training
