Senior Quantity Surveyor (RICS) - ARC International - Dubai

Duties and Responsibilities

Prepare preliminary budget for given project stating clearly the terms and conditions.

Prepare Bill of Quantity.

Assist in establishing client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies.

Prepare tender documents in co-ordination with Architect, MEP and Structural department.

Prepare Tender Analysis report.

Negotiate with Contractor to finalise final project Value.

Prepare letter of award.

Check Contractor for Insurance, Guarantees, Performance Bond and Payment guarantee.

Evaluate monthly progress submitting claims for payment.

Evaluate any claim variations and execute same.

Provide advice on contractual problems.

Conduct frequent studies and reference on other project cases to solve any problems which may occur on a particular project.

Finalise provisional sum for Sub Contractor and Supplier.

Monitor work programme against cash flow. Analyse outcomes and produce detailed progress reports.

Attend all technical meetings to monitor any extra work.

Prepare and evaluate completion statement and arrange payments.

Evaluate final account.

Prepare closing report.

Ensure the implementation of Quality management system that complies with standard ISO 9001 – 2008. Ensure that policies and procedures are being adhered to at all times.

Qualifications and Experience

Civil Engineering or QS Degree from a recognized and accredited University

Minimum 7 years of working experience, at least 3 within the UAE on BUILDING WORKS (not just infrastructure)

Fluent in English.
