Content & PR Manager - Better Homes - Dubai

With knowledge and exposure in the overall Communications and PR Marketing Functions and reporting directly to the Head of Marketing you will be responsible for the International PR & Communications operations of Better Homes LLC (United Arab Emirates, GCC and Middle East region, extending to the firm’s franchise networks.)

The successful applicant will need to oversee: The strategic design, creation, development and execution of external and internal marketing communications programs whilst also developing and implementing public relations strategies that supports the BH plan. Candidate will oversee Social Media campaigns which include but are not limited to: research, campaign & content creation, execution, monitoring and reporting. From a communications audit defining goals; analysing problems and opportunities; liaising with management and clients (internal & external).


Main Responsibilities


Your main duty will be to increase the public awareness and positive branding for BH. Cultivating and maintaining media relationships and relationships with other key opinion formers. Providing direction for all marketing activities and ensuring communication and branding objectives are integrated throughout all designs, advertising, signage, exhibitions, digital materials, public relations, collaterals and all other company activities.


Ensuring that all communication plans and strategies are in line with corporate objectives and budgets. Develop and maintain the company’s corporate image, brand and identity, which include the use of logos, signage, stationery and a writing style guide as well as all client touch-points. Devising strategies to drive online traffic to the company website. Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns.


Writing and editing press releases, newsletters, speeches, articles and annual reports. Maintaining and updating media and news information on the BH website; Preparing and supervising the production of newsletters, handouts, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes etc.


Acting as the company spokesperson this may include speaking in public at presentations, press conferences, radio and TV interviews, and meetings; Answering enquiries from individuals, journalists and other organisations; Organising special events, such as press conferences, exhibitions, open days, tours, competitions and sponsorship.


Social Media: Work with the team to enhance the social media strategy that collaborates with marketing, PR and advertising campaigns. Create timely and engaging content optimized for platform used and intended audience. Analyze and report social media actions on a monthly basis for successes and new strategies. Create engaging and professional visuals that reflect BH and their brand (Customize social media pages (ex. Facebook, Twitter, Google+, YouTube), develop supporting offline collateral, create original content, etc)


Stay current with social media trends and tools – includes attending networking and educational events, reading blogs, and listening to podcasts. Continue to refine and define our social marketing process. Work with team to create a solid branding message that’s reflected across BH marketing materials, social media content and shared by employees.


Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with all the divisions in the company, representatives of media and other customers whilst Identifying and analysing the needs of the company’s main target audiences.


Conceptualizing and preparing accurate information to create publicity material, which responds to current issues and enquiries or proactively raises the image of the organization. Coordinating assigned projects between other Marketing functions and company divisions and ensuring Communication objectives are promoted throughout all Marketing activities.


Continually developing the company communication in order for the company to enhance its relationship with its publics. Dealing with advertising companies and production houses.


When required, running in-house communication programs to communicate brand values and company marketing. Contributing to the development of new marketing campaigns to promote the corporate image of the organization.


Working closely with Head of Marketing, developing an organizational issue management strategy; scanning the external environment for emerging issues, supervising the research, analyzing and forecasting of emerging issues; prioritizing these issues as they emerge and then developing strategies and tactics for implementation. Monitoring and evaluating the success of internal and external communications. Keeping up on media trends to ensure marketing campaigns are relevant and sensitive to current issues.


What are we looking for in the ideal candidate?


  • Ideal candidate must have minimum of 5 years of experience with a strong background and work experience within Marketing & Management

  • He/she will possess a Bachelor’s Degree preferably in PR and/or Marketing

  • Applicants must have local exposure within the United Arab Emirates with an extensive network and contacts in the media/press and also digital media.

  • Must possess excellent communication skills within English. Second language is an added advantage. Both verbal & written.

  • Applicants whom come from a strong PR & Communications background within a reputable international firm.

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS office and knowledge of technical and design-based applications.

  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.

  • Demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace.

  • Excels at operating in a fast paced, close-knit environment.

  • Excellent personnel manager, open to direction, collaborative work style and commitment to achieve goals.

  • Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organisation.
