The UX/UI Designer is responsible for user interface design, workflow and execution throughout solution development, including: reviewing prioritized product and customer requirements, converting requirements into user interface designs, and working closer with product managers and engineers to ensure designs and workflows are correctly built, tested and deployed into the product.
Essential Responsibilities
• Design and help develop web frontend for enterprise services
• Collaborate with Product Owners, and Developers to design user experiences that balance the users’ needs with mission/business goals and technological capabilities.
• Gather requirements for the User Experience and interfacing to backend systems.
• Create prototypes, flow diagrams, wireframes, and mockups
• Design the interactive behavior, assistive capabilities and professional appearance of the client system.
• Design elegant web user interfaces for use with HTML5, javascript and similar technologies
• Ensure user interface design follow established corporate UI standards and guidelines
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or a combination of education and experience
• Minimum 8 years of experience in product user interface design, with progressive growth and demonstrated success in creating product designs, including experience working directly with engineering and QA teams on complex informational products or services.
• Experience working with remote teams with demonstrated success is preferred.
• Experience with designing new, next-generation UI interfaces based in existing products is desired. This includes preserving existing product features and avoiding disruptive learning curves for existing customers while providing new efficiencies and a more attractive UI presentation.
• Ability to translate abstracts into comprehensive visualizations
Desired Characteristics
• Excellent software UI design skills and excellent writing skills, including the ability to write clear, comprehensive, and detailed product designs.
• Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite and other UI design tools is beneficial
• Unique blend of business and technical savvy, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to handle multiple timelines and switch between tasks quickly to manage competing priorities
• Software Development and/or System Design Related Certifications
