Relevant healthcare qualification.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Identifying and executing treatments including Laser, Botox, Fillers, Chemical Peels amongst others
2. Responsible for the service excellence, customer satisfaction and profitability of services
3. Provide safe practice in assisting the Dermatologist in the procedures
4. Ensuring that physical needs of patient are met in timely manner.
5. Ensuring that equipments are clean and maintains the appropriate inventory of supplies according to established procedures .
6. Serve as a direct link and communicator between patient and other health care professionals whenever there is a need.
7. Reports changes in patients’ condition to the dermatologist.
8. Maintains patients’ privacy and confidentiality at all times.
9. knowledgeable with the use of specific equipment used in the assigned department as appropriate.
10. Completes delegated tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
11. Collects chart – X-rays, CT scans, Records, specimens and reports, and delivery them to authorized personnel as directed.
12. Maintains cleanliness of the clinic following daily cleaning by housekeeping.
13. Coordinates delivery and distribution of linen the unite.
14. Coordinates under the direction of charge nurse the ordering and delivery of store items to the unit and reports and concerns to the charge nurse.
15.Checking and receiving the patient in the reception after registration.
16. Identifying and verifying the name of the patient and its insurance card.
17. Escorting the patient to the doctor’s clinic.
18. Preparing all the things needed by the doctor before performing any examination /procedure to the patient.
19. Assisting the doctor when there is a procedure to be done inside the clinic.
20. Escorting the patient if there is any laboratory or radiology procedures.
21. Asking the insurance department about the approvals of procedures.
22. Taking consent to the patient before doing special procedure.
23. Assisting the patients in the pharmacy for the medications prescribed by the doctors.
24. Escorting the patient to the cashier after all the procedures and consultation for final billing.
25. Preparing for sick leaves documentation if necessary.
26. Assisting the patient for admission (paper wise) and operation if needed.
27. Arranging the file of the patient.
28. Admission, discharge and transfer of patients.
Professional Responsibilities
A laser nurse is responsible for administering cosmetic care that requires the use of a laser. The nurse must perform a skin analysis of the area in order to determine the efficacy of a laser procedure. After explaining the course of treatment and expected outcome, the nurse must prep the area and begin treatment. After the treatment, the nurse must explain the proper post-care and the recommended follow-up treatments, if necessary. The nurse may need to consult with a doctor or supervising medical personnel prior to treatment, if so dictated by the health and safety protocols of the hospital .
Technical Skills and Experience
A nurse who chooses to specialize in procedures requiring the use of various lasers must stay up to date with the latest laser equipment technology. Significant experience in dermatology is a basic requirement of the job as the ability to choose the appropriate laser equipment, treatment plans and expectations of treatment are highly dependent upon this knowledge. Experience and extensive knowledge of other dermatological beauty products, such as Botox, are required as an extension of the dermatology services offered by the office..
Qualitative Skills
Excellent interpersonal communication skills are a must, as a bulk of the job is spent relating to clients. An ability to perform the procedures in a time efficient manner while maintaining a pleasant attitude is a must.
