Engineering Project Manager – Automotive – Dubai based – £80,000+

Can you offer a strong engineering foundation and in depth knowledge of TS16949 systems?? This Engineering Project Manager role will offer involvement from initial planning stage and master schedule, budget and production requirement collaboration through to end of programme, product launch and maybe beyond into service.

Core expectations for this Engineering Project Manager role include,
– A degree qualification in Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing discipline and an in depth knowledge of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
– Previous experience within a Project/Programme Management post in the Automotive industry and a sound technical knowledge
– Excellent time management and strong leadership skills, strong budgetary control and an influential nature
– Strong English language communication skills and a second language is highly desirable (esp. German)
– Excellent working knowledge of TS16949 systems
– The ability to manage communication at all levels and a structured approach to internal and external feedback on progress

Key duties undertaken in this Engineering Project Manager post will include,
– Identifying resources needed and assigning individual responsibilities.
– Managing day-to-day operational aspects of a projects and scope.
– Completing full risk analysis at project stages to minimize exposure and risk on projects.
– Encourage, support and drive others in delivery of positive business change and technical innovation.
– Deliver constructive business performance feedback to management.
– To promote, support and manage the Group Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety Management System, reporting all observations and non-conformities to the appropriate personnel and following up the action to ensure rectification is completed
– Mitigating all risk management and concerns to ensure the validity and viability of the program and key deliverables.
– Leading cross functional teams through the project life cycle from RFQ through the launch and sign off.
– Support and manage customer expectations whilst dealing with program issues to ensure gateways and financial plans are achieved.
– Project Manager to oversee projects, be responsible for the completion within budget, on time and to quality objectives.
– Chairpersons for client update reports and overviews of project status with clients to establish deliverables and corrective actions.
– Lead all APQP, PPAP, VAVE and GDLS initiatives whilst managing design release and gateway sign off activities.
– Creating and executing project schedules from top-down for all group strategic projects.
