Our continued growth in the Middle East fuels numerous opportunities including the need for a Planning Manager of Vertical Construction Programs to join our team.

The Planning Manager monitors all aspects of the scheduling & control systems to ensure strong and focused monitoring of the programs delivery.

Responsibilities
·
Establishes and implements a high-level schedule and overall master schedule to highlight project milestones and logistical dependencies, critical paths and establish an overall project duration.
·
Produces a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to identify all the activities in the project.
·
Creates, maintains, reviews, and administers design & construction schedules and plans.
·
Liaises with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to organize the phases of the construction development. Identifies long lead items and monitors subsequent tracking of procurement progress.

Reviews construction schedule received from contractors and analyses them in line with contractual requirements.
·
Assists in the consultant and contractor selection process for commercial and technical evaluation in terms of schedule reviews.
·
Supports the production of a logistics management plan that enables the project team to fast track delivery of the project.
·
Sets up a system for schedule management and review in coordination with project stakeholders.
·
Identifies key project schedule risks and advises mitigation measures.
·
Provides project advice for any site progress or planning concerns that may affect progress.
·
Develops and manages weekly / monthly project reporting protocols and monitors progress against the same.
·
Performs regular progress presentations to the client and other interested parties.
·
Arranges and facilitates planning workshops to discuss and assist consultants and contractors to close planning issues.
·
Reviews and provides advice on any claims and EOT requests.
·
Creates, maintains, reviews, and administers design & construction schedules and plans.
·
Advises on site logistics and liaises with the client, contractor, project director, and project team.
·
Establishes a project and site security plan.
·
Creates and maintains a logistics risk management log.
·
Investigates and recommends procurement and location options for temporary facilities for the project, including offices, canteens, access roads, temporary utilities, laydown areas, etc. to ensure the continuous operation throughout the life of the project.

Monitors the effectiveness of contractor logistics relating to plant usage and all movement of plant and equipment to and from the site.
·
Manages the planning of logistics and monitoring, checking and reporting on the contractor’s performance in receipt, transport, storage, and preservation of materials.
·
Advises the client of information that becomes known to the consultant in relation to the surrounding areas, including existing and other intended projects and any planned future infrastructure projects that may have time and cost impact to the project.
·
Advises and monitors contractor implementation and control of site logistics, storage areas, warehouses, logistic supports, camps and offices, power, water, drainage and other facilities.
·
In the event that the contractor is terminated, reviews the materials and plant on site to establish that the plant and equipment needed to complete the works is not removed from the site without written consent from the client.
Qualifications
Requirements
15+ years of experience in Planning Management on vertical build or complicated construction programs.
Engineering or Construction Degree required (Western Education required.)
Strong preference for those experienced in both GC and consulting based delivery models.
MENA experience preferred but not required
Arabic speaking a plus
