Maintains and respects confidentiality of children and ELC personnel information;
Serves as secretary to the principal and the manager; provides information; prepares correspondences and related matters; prepares and maintains files and records; assists teachers and parents.
Receives and greets persons or groups calling on guidance department staff; answers telephones, provides information, takes and dispatches messages, as needed;
Searches microfiche files;
Registers new students/withdraws students and notifies the bus driver and assistant
Enters data for new and previous students;
Maintains diplomas for regular school term and summer school;
Prepares and sends transcripts to , employers, and to schools for transfer students;
Obtains transcripts for new/transfer students;
Updates demographic data in computer database;
Checks and reviews a variety of data for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to established standards and procedures;
Requests records, as needed;
Maintains records and generates reports, as requested
Operates standard office equipment to include, word-processing, and data processing equipment, copiers, laminators, etc.;
Handles a variety of routine technical and administrative assignments;
Takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect children, equipment, materials, and facilities;
Complies with and supports ELC and division regulations and policies
Performs related tasks as assigned by administrator(s) in accordance with the nursery/policies and practices.
